Laytonsville Veterinary Practice enjoys an excellent reputation within the community.  Our privately owned five-veterinarian practice is located in an affluent suburban neighborhood, with clients that are educated and a joy to work with.  The 12,000 sq ft hospital is clean and sunny, with lots of windows.  We have a full armament of diagnostic and therapeutic tools, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, three dental stations, diagnostic ultrasound, surgical laser, endoscopy, tonopen, full in-house laboratory, digital cytology, doppler blood pressure machines, and five anesthesia stations with full monitoring equipment.  We practice evidence-based medicine and try to provide the best solutions for each individual patient and family. 

Our mantra is that your enjoyment and satisfaction in your veterinary career are directly related to your feelings of competency; that you are doing a good job and making a difference.  We are here to provide mentorship, and support, but not dictate or micro-manage you.   Respect is the key.    Our doctors are encouraged, when they are ready, to develop their own niche within the practice, and we provide continuing education to support those goals.  

Our techs are very well trained, able to triage, run laboratory tests, take radiographs, get doppler BPs, get ECGs, place catheters, monitor anesthesia, perform complete dental scaling and polishing, take full-mouth dental radiographs, type up your medical notes, help you with call-backs, and enable you to be a doctor!  Yay!

The position available requires an approximate 33 - 43 hour work week, with no night emergencies.   Specific schedules are negotiable.
