Jefferson Animal Hospital has been serving the Baton Rouge area since 1979; we practice gold standard care for our patients and are always looking for ways to improve our practice. We strive to have a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and communication between all employees throughout the clinic. We are open and honest with our doctors and we have bi-monthly meetings to talk about new products, new medical practices and any improvements that need to be made in communication with the staff. Louisiana State University is a short drive from our clinic and we utilize their specialty and consultation services.

About Jefferson Animal Hospital:
4 exam rooms with 2 containing lift tables for large dogs, a large treatment area containing a lift table for large surgical patients, a surgical suite, a dental cleaning station
3 surgical areas setup with monitors to attach to patients while sedated, technicians to monitor the patient while under anesthesia
Idexx in house laboratory
CR radiographs and digital dental radiographs
Ultrasound machine
Laser therapy machine
Electrocautery
In house pharmacy with access to our online pharmacy to prescribe any medication that we do not carry in house

Skills and Basic Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
Works collaboratively with hospital team members
Makes decisions confidently and effectively
Manages time and tasks appropriately
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth
