Prince Frederick Animal Hospital (PFAH) is an independently owned, large, well equipped, small animal practice in the heart of beautiful Calvert County Maryland, which lies along the Chesapeake Bay just one hour south of Washington, DC. The hospital was established in 1981, and over the years has developed strong partnerships with the community. We are provider of choice for our new county animal shelter, as well as multiple other local rescue groups.

The PFAH family consists of six veterinarians and more than 30 dedicated support staff. Because we strongly believe that everyone plays an integral role in providing excellent health care to our patients and compassionate customer service to our clients we actively encourage the development of individual interests, personal growth and self-care so that we all experience a feeling of fulfillment and success.

We are searching for an Associate Veterinarian (Full time or Part time, experienced or new graduate). You should already possess strong time management and communication skills, a positive attitude in educating clients and support staff and a sense of humor.

For experienced veterinarians, PFAH is an ideal environment to hone new skills or explore and develop new interests. For new graduates, PFAH is an exceptional opportunity to grow your skills, develop confidence and experience success under the strong mentorship and guidance of our collaborative team of doctors who have a wide range of experience and areas of interest. 

Our full-time veterinarians work 4 days/week with NO after-hours emergencies. (There is an emergency clinic in the county.) A competitive employment package is offered including state and federal licensing fees, AVMA professional dues and liability coverage. PFAH offers an employer sponsored retirement program (matching).
