POSITION SUMMARY
We are a quickly growing hospital and would love to have you as part of our developing team! The Associate Veterinarian will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical and surgical care to our clients' companion pets. They should be well-versed in common surgeries and able to handle the entire patient process independently. Additionally, the veterinarian will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to educate clients on preventative care and treatment options. They will work closely with our team to ensure exceptional patient care and client satisfaction.

OBJECTIVE
Perform surgeries including routine dental procedures and extractions as well as routine soft tissue surgeries: (i.e. spay/neuter, cystotomy, enterotomy).
Provide exceptional medical and surgical care to companion pets, including ultrasound evaluation: A-Fast and T-Fast scan, and diagnostic ultrasound are a plus, or open to learning.
Partner with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and education to ensure the lifelong health of their pets.
Display superior cross-functional collaboration skills with other veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
Run diagnostics to investigate and diagnose any medical issues, then create a treatment plan to handle the primary disease or condition in a timely manner.
Perform thorough examinations of patients and develop inclusive diagnostic recommendations to ensure no sickness or disease is missed
Recommend specialist consultations when needed
Have knowledge of all products and services offered by the clinic.
Stay up to date with the latest medical and surgical techniques and technologies
Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
Help grow the business by promoting profitable areas of the business, such as imaging and surgery
Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
Create detailed treatment plans to ensure patients recover quickly from injury or illness to the best of your ability.
Communicate clearly with technicians to ensure all directives are completed
Analyze patients as a whole and not just treat the client’s complaint

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Florida.
Bilingual English & Spanish (Preferred)
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Starting salary of $125,000 base (up to $160,000) + competitive bonus % compensation based on production.
