Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of a new equine surgery/sports medicine position. This expanding, 100% equine practice is seeking a committed, enthusiastic candidate to join our current team of 8 veterinarians. Our surgical case load consists of both elective and emergency, soft tissue, and orthopedic cases. In addition to surgical duties and outpatient cases, the candidate would be actively involved in the sports medicine caseload both in hospital and in the field. With a diverse and well-educated client base more challenging and rewarding cases are commonly seen.
Interested candidates should have strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, empathy, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping client and patients alike. The candidate would join our established, progressive, creative, and dedicated surgical/sports medicine department. The candidate must be board-certified or board eligible and has completed residency training in large animal surgery.
Our surgical facility has recently been renovated and includes a new surgery suite, induction, and recovery stalls. Friendly and talented support staff and an internship program help maintain exemplary 24/7, 365 care.
Located in Southeastern WI, between Milwaukee and Madison, just 2 hours north of Chicago, this is a great place to live and raise a family. This is a unique opportunity for both personal and professional growth; we are searching for a long-term addition to our team!
Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital was founded in 1992 by Dr. Robert and Gina Magnus and veterinary services were first provided in a remodeled dairy barn!
Dr. Magnus quickly realized he was going to need help and recruited Dr. Douglas Langer straight from his surgical residency in California to join the team. Dr. Magnus and Dr. Langer not only offered exemplary care, but prioritized their client relationships and built their business by word of mouth referrals. The business grew exponentially and in 1998 Wisconsin Equine and Lake Country Equine merged and moved into the facility we call home today.
Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital was a pioneer in veterinary technology, being the first hospital in the area to offer digital radiography, MRI and advanced reproductive services. Today we are proud to have a diverse team of doctors, all with unique specialties and areas of interest, allowing us to offer the most comprehensive solutions for our patients' health and wellness needs.
