Bolton Veterinary Hospital is a 24-hour small animal Emergency and General Practice. We are located in Bolton CT, ten minutes from Hartford, 90 minutes from Boston and 2.5 hrs from NYC.
We are a 24 doctor, AAHA accredited, Fear Free practice where the needs of the patient come before all else. We perform general and advanced surgery, dentistry and medicine, with additional services such as cold laser and acupuncture. We have the support of two internists and a cardiologist with regularly scheduled appointments for ultrasound and echocardiogram/EKG consults. We have a full service in-house Idexx laboratory, digital radiography and ultrasound. We are in the process of building a new, state of the art facility.
All levels of experience are welcome. Whether you wish to become a long-term associate or prefer to gain real world GP/ER experience before pursuing an internship you are encouraged to apply and join our team. You will see a vast array of cases, from wellness to urgent and critical care. Full time and/or part time positions are available. We are a privately owned professional corporation with no desire to sell to a corporation as we want to preserve your autonomy to practice as you deem best.
New hires are integrated with a formal onboarding process. In addition, recent graduates are matched with a senior doctor in our mentorship program, to ensure their continued growth and success. While you will have the freedom to manage your cases as you feel is best, you will never have to be on your own. We love to collaborate on cases and share our collective experience. The teamwork of our doctors is one thing that we feel truly sets us apart.
Our compensation package includes a competitive salary ($125,000/year starting salary for new grads), health insurance benefits, 401(k), CE fees, professional dues and association fees and personal pet benefits. There is a potential for profit sharing opportunities.
