Privately owned Wexford Veterinary Hospital has been serving the Wexford/Sewickley communities of North Pittsburgh since 1958 and has been AAHA accredited since 1979. The community is one of the most well known and influential areas in the region and is home to several of the best school systems in all of Western PA. Recently named “Best of the Burgh” and “Best of the Best” by the Pittsburgh Trib and Pittsburgh Magazine respectively, WVH takes pride in both our recognition and contributions in the community. The hospital is one of the largest continuously operating AAHA veterinary facilities in Pittsburgh with 8 veterinarians and 8 CVTs currently on staff. The veterinarians combined have well over 100 years of small animal clinical experience. We offer the surrounding pet community comprehensive wellness exams, tailor-made vaccine protocols, in-house laboratory testing, radiology services, routine surgery/dental services and a full service Pet Hotel. In house IDEXX hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, digital radiology, ultrasound, and cytology are all available as are electrosurgical & CO2 laser surgical options. Companion laser therapy, Cryopen therapy, and access to multiple veterinary emergency centers & specialists are all mainstays in our practice.

The ideal candidate is a Veterinarian who works well in a collaborative, team environment and is someone who will thrive in a busy, multi-doctor practice. A strong surgical background is ideal & mentorship will be provided for new graduates. A computerized medical record system and a complete management team & support staff are all available to help you succeed and thrive.  We do not work on weekends and truly care about our employees, their families, and work life balance.
