Genuine relationships & community love

It's personal for us. We grew up here in Michiana, an area in Northern Indiana. This is OUR community. We (a veterinarian and veterinary nurse) are long time friends. Lakeland Animal Care was born 6yrs ago and we nurtured it from the ground up. The foundation was built on genuine relationships, top level care and small town values. That continues to be our focus today. We are a full-service small animal hospital in a modern 5,500sqft facility providing daytime wellness, medical, surgical, dental and emergency veterinary care. Our community is safe, family friendly, affluent and has top rated schools. This is our hometown community and we pride ourselves on making her even better. We can be found supporting our schools, participating in fundraising events, sponsoring youth athletics, and assisting animal rescue organizations.

We empower our people to reach their full potential by fostering growth on a daily basis, requiring continuing education for employment, and providing experienced mentorship from the trenches. With light being shed on mental health struggles within our industry, we focus on preventing burnout with SHORTER WORKDAYS. It's important we provide our people with a BETTER LIFE. That we do better than generations before us.

Our mission is centered around improving the lives of pets, their people, and the professionals who care for them while showing love to our planet. This is our LIFE CALLING. We want only the best for our neighbors and their pet family. Our longer appointment times allow us to offer top diagnostics and the latest treatments. We approach each patient based on their individual needs and use low stress practices to provide a comfortable environment. Being transparent enables us to build lifelong relationships built on trust. Here, we believe in going to great lengths to help our patients. We are equipped to handle even the most challenging of cases - including digital radiography, dental DR, ultrasonography, & more. We are not a vaccine or bandaid clinic. We pride ourselves on diagnosing and correcting problems. Here's some of the cool "doctoring" we did just this past week: GDV surgery, gastrotomy with foreign body removal, blood typing, collection of blood donation, blood transfusion, chemotherapy, ultrasound-guided liver aspirates, cancer staging, cystotomy with urolith removal, tracheotomy, and venous cutdowns.

YOUR WEEKENDS TO YOURSELF. No after-hours emergencies. $30K Sign-On BONUS, generous ProSal compensation, $110,000 - $150,000+/yr. Schedule is flexible, 4 day work week, SHORTER WORKDAYS 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M appointments. PT is an option.
