Give us the opportunity to show you that our practice is the best fit for you!  Located in picturesque southwestern Pennsylvania, surrounded by mountain views, farms, wineries, orchards, and just minutes from Omni Bedford Springs resort, Veterinary Medical Center has been serving our community for over 50 years. The area offers small-town charm with uptown amenities, great schools, and neighborly clients.

As a 4 ½ doctor, small animal practice, joining our team means you will be working with five veterinarians with over 80 years combined experience giving you access to support both with cases and in navigating the many life challenges we face as veterinarians.  Our vets have experience with mentorship and want to see you succeed.  We support one another in and out of the clinic, working together to achieve the elusive work-life balance.  It is our goal to see you happy and successful.  The practice is privately owned allowing for veterinarian-based decisions in the day-to-day operations of the clinic and for very individualized medicine and patient care.  No two patients and clients are the same and care is always tailored to meet their individual needs.

Within the practice, we encourage the pursuit of special interests (i.e., orthopedics, ultrasound, dentals…) that you may have or wish to develop.  We have recently expanded our waiting/reception area and added three additional exam rooms bringing our total exam rooms to six in order to accommodate our growing client base.  Our full in-house laboratory allows us to perform diagnostics the same day to appropriately help our patients.  We additionally offer digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy.  Serving the animals and people of our community is truly our philosophy.

Paid Time Off- 20 days starting PTO.  Can earn up to 45 days PTO, Gaining an additional 5 days of PTO every 5 years.

Salary for full-time- 90K + pending experience.

Continuing Education- $2000 per year

Other- Fully paid AVMA dues and PLIT as well as clothing allowance

About Veterinary Medical Center

The Veterinary Medical Center, located on Route 30 east of Bedford PA, has been serving our community for nearly fifty years. Beginning as a mixed animal practice, we have slowly evolved into a five doctor companion animal exclusive practice. We offer high quality patient care in a compassionate atmosphere while being supported by a great community with a wonderful client base. We continually strive to advance the practice for the betterment of our patients and the community. We support and encourage individual veterinary interests, work with a local animal rescue, and support numerous community groups. We have also adopted numerous fear free techniques to improve our patients’ experience. We view our patients as individuals and tailor care to their specific needs. Our current equipment includes digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, high-power dental drill/ultrasonic scaler, and in-house laboratory. Our facility underwent a large renovation in 2019 to better accommodate our shift from a mixed animal to companion animal only practice. We currently have 13 full time support staff members who are extremely knowledgeable and well trained. We enhance our staff’s ...skill set by committing to weekly staff meetings that keep everyone up-to-date, educated, and in sync.
