Have you ever wished you had the time to pause during your busy day–to talk with a client, collaborate with a colleague, or research an issue? Dr. Lauryn Spohn did, so she founded Pawz to Care–and we are looking for full- or part-time veterinarians to join our friendly, skillful, experienced team. A daily workload of 5-9 cases a day allows us to invest in our relationships with patients and clients.
We also invest in ourselves and each other. Outside of a 4 day work week, our new DVMs can look forward to plenty of time off to enjoy the mountains, deserts, culture, and art of beautiful northern New Mexico. You will never be on call after hours, though you may get a few texts with the latest cute photos of our clinic cat, Kevin. Other benefits include a generous discount on services and supplies for your personal pets, support for ongoing education, and a paid day off for your birthday!
We work with dogs and cats, offering preventative and diagnostic care, dentistry (including digital dental radiography), and routine surgery. If you have special interests or skills, we’d love to talk about how you can explore them here. Our goal is for all of our staff to pursue their professional passions while providing high-quality, evidence-based, personalized medicine for our pet community.
A kind veterinarian with a passion for client communication and quality care who enjoys working as part of a team with technicians and client care representatives, as well as with other veterinarians. Both new and experienced doctors are welcome to apply. Must be committed to providing individualized care; we prioritize carefully considering the right treatment for each patient.
Pawz To Care is a well-established full service veterinary clinic located in Bernalillo, NM, also serving Placitas, Rio Rancho, and Albuquerque. We are dedicated to providing cats and dogs with professional health care. Our goal is to reduce anxiety and stress for pets and their families, providing them with a positive experience.
Communication is key for our team – we want doctors, staff, and clients on the same page. We literally “pause to care” and take the extra time needed to make sure each furry companion gets the attention they deserve.
We offer preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of non-emergency illnesses and injuries, routine surgeries, x-rays, blood work, and dentistry (including dental x-rays). We have strong relationships with local emergency and specialty clinics and can make referrals for any specialized not offered in our clinic. Please feel free to visit our website or contact us directly for further information.
