Oakwood Animal Hospital is looking for a Managing Veterinarian to lead our team.  We are located right in the heart of Florida's capitol city, Tallahassee.  We are seeking a Veterinarian/Leader with a passion for high quality GP medicine including client education, wellness, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry.  We are an AHAA accredited 3 doctor practice with an experienced and committed team.  We are seeking a leader who enjoys leading by example, collaboration, and likes to have fun at work too!

About the hospital:

We provide our patients with high quality medicine through complete whole-life services: wellness, preventative care, general medicine, advanced dentistry, in house diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery.  Our surgical suite has new surgical monitoring equipment and warming units.  We also offer onsite boarding and grooming. 

About the role:

The Managing Veterinarian is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine, and directing staff. The Managing Veterinarian is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered. The Managing Veterinarian provides mentorship and guidance related to medical protocols and procedures. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations.
