Baxter Veterinary Clinic is a growing, privately owned, AAHA accredited, small animal practice located just south of Charlotte, NC. With 5 veterinarians, 2 registered veterinary technicians, and a 2:1 support staff to DVM ratio, our practice uses a collaborative, fear free approach in the management of cases. Our state-of-the-art facility offers comprehensive in-house laboratory testing, digital radiology, dental radiographs, radiosurgery, cryosurgery, ultrasound, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, therapeutic laser, exotic animal medicine and surgery, and dentistry. With over five 24-hour facilities in the area, there are plenty of options for patient care after business hours.

Don't like surgery?  No problem!  We are considering part-time or full-time positions with no surgical requirements.  If you do like surgery and would like mentorship in basic or advanced surgical techniques including exotic surgery and orthopedics, then mentorship is available.  An established full time associate can expect to make a six figure salary along with other benefits, including paid time off, CE allowance, health insurance reimbursement, monthly bonuses, and a retirement plan with matching benefits. Mentoring is available for new graduates!

Located just 20 minutes south of Charlotte and 2-3 hours from mountain or beach escapes, a full time associate can expect a 35-40 hour/week with some weekend rotations. With easy access to lake life, outdoor activities, professional sports teams, shows, breweries and restaurants, you will find no shortage of things to do.  Our area boasts the best school systems and lowest taxes in the region and is a mecca for young professionals.
