Looking to add a 5th full or part-time associate to our rapidly growing equine practice in SE Michigan. We are located approximately an hour north of metro Detroit - close enough to enjoy professional sports, high end restaurants and entertainment, but far enough away to have peace and quiet. For those passionate about the outdoors, we are close to many lakes and parks that provide fishing, biking, hiking, boating and (of course!) horseback riding.
Our client base is primarily pleasure horses, ranging from high end hunter jumpers, dressage and western pleasure horses to 4H and backyard horses. We pride ourselves on providing excellent and empathic veterinary care in an ambulatory/outpatient environment and are fortunate to have the diagnostic equipment and support staff to make this possible. Our practice is equipped with office staff, veterinary assistants and technicians, Powerfloats, VersaTron shock wave, Pro-Stride APS system, on-site blood machines and Parasight system, and digital X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
Our ideal candidate will have experience or have completed an equine internship and have a strong interest in preventative and emergency medicine +/- equine reproduction. We are hoping to find someone energetic and passionate about furthering their knowledge and diagnostic abilities while being part of a team. Emergency work is an essential part of our practice and is shared among the doctors.
The position includes base salary plus production, emergency call bonus pay, generous and flexible vacation time, practice vehicle, liability insurance, paid CE, professional membership fees, and 529 and 401k plans with match.
