Founded in 1984 our goal has always been to provide high-quality, individualized patient care utilizing state-of-the-art medical and surgical technology, equipment, and therapeutics. This focus has allowed us to remain an elite practice in NE Kansas that draws a uniquely committed clientele. While our patient base is predominately dog and cat, we are a regional leader in avian and exotic pet care.
UVCC is privately owned by Dr.’s Travis Gratton and Amy Guernsey-Youngblood. The practice is professional and busy with scheduled appointments for 30 minutes to allow client communication and education. The work atmosphere is relaxed and fun, utilizing our para-professional staff to keep the day running smoothly. Many team members have been with UVCC for a decade or more. We emphasize a work-life balance and are supportive of personal or family needs. Protecting mental health is also a priority for us, and we provide an Employee Assistance Program through CuraLink Healthcare.
Cases are managed in a collaborative manner among veterinarians. UVCC prioritizes individual career development and supports the pursuit of continuing education or certification in any team member's unique areas of interest.

Very limited on-call schedule and half-day Saturday shifts are on a balanced rotation among all full-time veterinarians. Eligibility to partake in the Employee Assistant Program starts on the first day of employment. We were founded by Dr. Larry Snyder in 1984 with the philosophy that all pets, regardless of species, deserve the best quality veterinary care available.
We maintain that standard by continuously striving to blend advanced medical procedures with personalized compassionate care.
