Chicago Equine Medical Center is seeking a Class of 2023 new graduate with personal equine experience for a mentorship based position that is interested in making a long-term impact on a varied horse population in Northeastern Illinois. Our team is comprised of experienced equine clinicians and a surgeon who values education. This Jr Associate position would prepare a new graduate for equine practice and the transition to an independent Associate role. Our ideal associates are committed and motivated to providing the best care possible for our hospitalized, outpatient, and ambulatory patients.
Our practice offers the opportunity to work in a full-service outpatient facility and surgical center with modern diagnostic and treatment options. Chicago Equine provides clients with 24 hour emergency and critical care availability. Because our team’s quality of life is a top priority, emergency coverage is shared among Chicago Equine veterinarians and a select group of referring equine veterinarians. Our team approach makes us uniquely able to serve all of our client’s needs and provide advanced diagnostics, hospitalization and surgery services to the patients of local referring veterinarians.
Associates share horse show veterinarian duties at all HITS hunter jumper competitions in Illinois and other local horse shows as scheduled. They may also have the opportunity to spend time working at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
At Chicago Equine Medical Center, we take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance. Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, quality health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, generous continuing education allowance and additional paid time off, numerous discounts through our partners and reimbursement for membership dues and license fees.
