Since 1956, Tickle-Blagg Animal Hospital has been proudly serving the community of San Marcos, TX — a thriving college town on the edge of the Central Texas Hill Country. Locally nicknamed San Marvelous for its stunning natural beauty, it boasts the pristine San Marcos River that stays 72 degrees year round. Listed as “Forbes Best Places to Retire” and as one of the “Best Places to Raise your Kids” by Business Week, our beloved city has something for everyone. Located halfway between Austin and San Antonio, San Marcos is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, but it remains more affordable than its big city neighbors while enjoying the same vibrant and eclectic culture.
At Tickle-Blagg Animal Hospital, we're passionate about ensuring our doctors experience an excellent quality of life both inside and outside the hospital. We strongly encourage a healthy work–life balance so our team members feel personal and professional fulfillment. Everyone is encouraged to achieve their best, which is why we prioritize surgical and medical mentorship and promote continuing education. Our doctors work as a team and collaborate on all procedures and cases, so you'll always be fully supported and never feel like you're on your own.
We perform a variety of soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental procedures. Our practice uses video otoscope, CO2 surgical laser, digital radiology, tonometry, ultrasound, EKG, and therapy laser.
