Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital, located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our amazing team! We are proud to be AAHA accredited for 25 years! New grads are welcome to apply.

About our clinic: Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal hospital that treats dogs, cats, and our medical director, Dr. Allen Tancher also sees occasional pocket pets. Our associate Dr. LaCroix is certified in veterinary acupuncture, allowing us to offer that service to our patients. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and tonometry. We utilize the services of Dr. Sarah Woods, a mobile board-certified radiologist for our diagnostic ultrasounds and Dr. Carrie Ginieczki, board-certified cardiologist for our echocardiograms.

At RMSAH, we perform a large variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. We have two surgery suites, CO2 cutting laser, and Cardell multi-monitoring equipment. Dr. Dave Matthiesen, a board-certified surgeon, comes in as needed for orthopedic procedures. Our dental equipment includes a wet table, drill and scaler handpiece, Vet-Tome (atraumatic extraction system!), and dental radiography. We also use cold laser therapy post-op. Furthermore, we have a great relationship with the emergency and referral center that is only a few minutes away, making it easy to transfer any patients needing overnight monitoring.

Most importantly, we have an amazing support staff and a 2:1 technician to doctor ratio! We have very little turnover, with one of our technicians being a part of our team for 27 years and our newest technician joining 5 years ago! We treat our staff well and empower them to do what they are trained to do.   

The schedule we are looking to fill is a 4-day work week and rotating Saturdays. Our current hospital hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday, 8 am to 12 pm. Our appointments start around 8/9 am and end at 4:30/5 pm, with our doctors also having at least an hour lunch break, so there is adequate time to finish records, call backs, etc. You can learn more about our incredible practice at rmsah.com.
