Quail Hollow Animal Hospital is looking for a Managing Veterinarian to lead our team.  We are located just north of Tampa in Wesley Chapel, a desirable and fast-growing community.  We are seeking a Veterinarian/Leader with a passion for high quality GP medicine including client education, wellness, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry.  We are a progressive, AAHA-accredited, small animal hospital with an experienced and committed group of doctors and staff.  We are seeking a leader who enjoys leading by example, collaboration, and likes to have fun at work too!

About Out team:

Quail Hollow has a collaborative 6 doctor team. Our doctors are all experienced veterinarians who are highly engaged and willing to share ideas. We have a cohesive team that takes pride in doing great work and likes to have fun! You will regularly see us laughing and joking with each other.  We really value enjoying our work environment.  We are invested in maintaining our positive work relationships, so we plan bimonthly group activities.  As a result, we have a very tenured staff who know the hospital very well and are integral in the smooth daily operations of the practice. Our technicians are skilled and knowledgeable in supporting each of our doctors.

About the hospital:

Our hospital boasts 6 exam rooms, a large treatment area with 3 wet tables, and spacious surgical suite with monitoring equipment.  We are equipped with a complete in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital dental radiography, digital radiography, with all images read by a boarded radiologist, ultrasound, both a surgical and a therapeutic laser.  We have everything needed to provide excellent diagnostics all in-house. We offer our clients Wellness programs, boarding, and have a dedicated area for euthanasia. We also offer a drive thru for quick pharmacy pick up.

About the role:

The Managing Veterinarian is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine, and directing staff. The Managing Veterinarian is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine is delivered. The Managing Veterinarian provides mentorship and guidance related to medical protocols and procedures. In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations.

Wesley Chapel is a suburban community which offers great schools and still reasonable housing within an easy drive to Tampa.  It’s a growing area with newer neighborhoods offering lots of amenities as well as some more rural areas where you can own land.  Wesley Chapel has great shopping, restaurants, and fun weekend activities like farmers markets and community festivals.  We also have recreation centers like our ice complex and water park lagoon.  It’s also an easy drive to Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Orlando. The gulf beaches are just 45 minutes’ drive and we have numerous parks and rivers nearby to explore.  You will never run out of things to do.
