Walnut Grove Animal Clinic in Memphis, TN is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team!
We are companion animal practice located near the geographic center of Memphis, Tennessee. We like to think we are also located in the collective heart of Memphis as well. Many years ago, as a young college student, I passed our current location and dreamed of having a veterinary clinic right there. Then it was an Amaco gas station. For me the attraction was the neighborhood. The corner was an economic crossroad that divided the “haves” and the “have nots”. The location appealed to my sense of calling as a veterinarian.
It’s been a long and fulfilling journey. Another veterinarian bought the gas station and started Walnut Grove in the late 70’s. We bought it out of bankruptcy in 1993. Today, we have seven veterinarians and provide high quality care to pets from all over the Memphis metropolitan area. We offer a full range of surgical care including extensive orthopedics, oral surgery, and dentistry including endodontics. We provide digital radiology, ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, and competitively priced wellness care. We’ve also added a large daycare and boarding facility.
Our patients include the Memphis Police Department canine unit, Memphis International Airport Authority canine unit, Memphis Fire Department canine unit, FEMA search and rescue Tennessee Task Force One, Federal Express, as well as several other nearby municipalities that have working canine units.
