Seeking a full-time or part-time (30-40 hours) associate for thriving, AAHA-accredited, Cat-Friendly, and Fear Free-certified small animal hospital.  Our hospital was created 10 years ago by two local veterinarians. We hold close our values: to run a family-oriented hospital that provides extraordinary patient and client care. Our immense growth has mostly been through word-of-mouth referrals.  We currently have six veterinarians and are fully staffed with talented technicians and CSRs. Our beloved hospital manager has been with us for all 10 years, 

What sets us apart from other small animal hospitals is that we are are privately run.  There is no corporate management or interest at North Shore Family Pet Hospital.  We are simply a small business that operates in a way to maintain a happy work culture.  Although we are running a hospital that needs to make money, we are ultimately motivated by taking extraordinary care of our patients, clients, and one another.

The schedule is flexible. We are open Monday- Friday 8-5pm and Saturday 8-12pm. We have actually shortened our hours as we value time with our families and friends.  Applicant will work half of the Saturdays and a varied schedule based on all the DVMs' personal obligations.  We work hard at work but achieve life balance. 

We've recently finished an extensive remodel and our hospital is modern and updated. We are located in the affluent family-oriented northern Chicago suburb of Northbrook which is easily accessible to downtown Chicago. We use electronic records (Impromed Infinity), digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house lab machines in addition to outside labs, therapeutic & surgical lasers, etc. We practice progressive medicine. We are located within a mile of a 24-hour specialty center.  We have a close relationship with several local specialty hospitals and their doctors.  We, therefore, do not keep patients overnight nor take weekend call.  We collaborate with an ACVIM veterinarian who regularly performs consultations, ultrasounds, endoscopy, and other procedures at our hospital

The best candidate has 2 years experience actively working in a small animal hospital as we are busy.  An Illinois license should be active.  Candidate should have excellent communication skills and love bonding with clients and their pets.
