We are eager to add an associate to our small animal practice here in the beautiful mountains of Gunnison, CO! We will consider any level of experience including a new grad, depending on references, for either a part- or full-time position at our busy, rural, small animal hospital. We focus on practicing modern, high-quality medicine and surgery. We see a small number of exotic and small ruminant patients. We are willing to set up for mobile large animal practice for the right candidate. We are equipped with in-house Abaxis blood machines, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, state-of-the-art surgical suite with anesthetic monitoring. We work closely with several referral hospitals for consultations and complex cases. We have a wonderful clientele and our support staff is dedicated, professional and hard-working. As a family oriented business model, the working schedule is an alternating 5-day and 4-day workweek. We are not open on weekends. On-call responsibilities are split between 3 doctors. Gunnison is located in a great mountain location, 25 miles from Crested Butte Ski Resort: spend your weekends hiking, skiing, mountain biking, camping, fishing, rafting and kayaking close to home. A candidate who practices high-quality, progressive medicine, has an interest in surgery (both soft tissue and orthopedics) and a strong focus on client education and communication will command our attention.
