The Greater Buffalo Veterinary Emergency Clinic was started by a team of local veterinarians in 1978 as an after-hours practice to function as an extension of their own clinics to help those experiencing a pet emergency outside of their normal business hours. They realized that more pets in crisis could be saved or started on the road to recovery sooner if comprehensive emergency intervention was available overnight, on weekends, and on holidays when their offices were closed.
This dedication to the animals has allowed countless lives to be saved and their potential suffering avoided. Our emergency vet has been in service for nearly five decades because of the assistance and commitment we provide to the community and their pets. Throughout our history, we have continued to deliver a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures and testing services to our patients. We have adapted over the years, and our emergency animal hospital has instituted state-of-the-art equipment to ensure your furry friends are treated with the best technology in addition to the care & respect they receive from our veterinary staff.
