Looking for a fun and free thinking place to work?
Tired of working on production and having to calculate what treatments pets need so you can pay your rent?
Stressed out by lack of true mentorship?
Want to work at a place where you don't automatically refer everything to a specialist?
Want to learn how to help people on a budget, rather than offering them thousands of dollars worth of treatment versus free euthanasia?
Want to work somewhere where you will be free to decide if you want a vaccination or to wear a mask? Here, these decisions are up to you. As long as I am the owner, I will NEVER interfere with the healthcare choices of any of my employees. We had a COVID outbreak last year and did well. We are NEVER going to restrict opportunities based on political stance. EVER. So, if you currently work in a corporate environment and are concerned about being made to comply with unapproved medical procedures, hit us up. We are not afraid.
We are looking for enthusiastic associates to join the exploding caseload we have. We offer a full range of preventative care for dogs, cats, horses, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, goats...have even seen a skunk. We are not bird and reptile trained, HOWEVER, if you have a strong desire and can add value to the clinic by seeing these creatures, we could consider it.
We do orthopedics, advanced soft tissue surgeries in addition to routine soft tissue surgeries. Our caseload is large and getting larger. We have just signed a contract to provide low cost spay and neuter for our County Animal Control, so we anticipate being even busier. If you want to learn how to do surgery efficiently and correctly, you will be mentored and given opportunities you won't get elsewhere. We also do a heavy canine reproductive caseload. This year we are on track to do over 500 C-sections. We have our own in house progesterone analyzer and do a lot of surgical inseminations, artificial inseminations, breeding evaluations, etc. If you want to learn to be competent and comfortable with canine reproduction, we are the place to be.
We want to expand to some large animal ambulatory as well. This is in the works, but we currently do not have the staffing to do this.....thus the ad!!
Don't be fooled by our name, we practice high quality medicine, but creatively. We try to avoid unnecessary euthansia at all costs. The owner has 25 years experience in emergency, mixed animal and small animal medicine and surgery. We don't cut corners, we just shop well and believe in efficiency.
We have all the toys--digital x-ray(really really really good images), two table surgical suite, ultrasound, electrocautery, 100% paperless recordkeeping with digital uploads directly into patient files accessible anywhere, 4800 square foot facility.
Must be licensed in Georgia and have a valid DEA license.
Must be willing to be a team player(so cliche, right?)-seriously--here we don't do cliques and special groups. We are all equal and all help each other. Doctors are not better than techs are not better than assistants.....but Doctors are RESPECTED here.
You must be able to show up on time and work when you are scheduled to work. No excessive absences or tardiness.
You must have a sense of humor.
There will be ZERO political or social bullying here. That doesn't play well here. We are open and accepting of EVERYONE and I expect the same from my employees.
Must be physically able to handle the job.............if you are a vet, you know what I mean. If you have physical limitations, you need to let me know before I hire you.
