We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to function effortlessly in fast-paced environments, handles constantly learning new things with ease and the desire to improve themselves not only in their position, but as a professional individual. Impeccable communication skills and team-oriented experience is a must.
The flex-position of a veterinary assistant with cross-training in reception involves:
Obtaining thorough medical histories from pet owners
Typing up medical notes
Drawing up vaccines
Providing client education on general animal health
Assisting veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures
Being cunning enough to think one step ahead of the game!
Handling laboratory samples
Running specialized laboratory machinery
Following strict hospital and OSHA guidelines on cleanliness and sterilization techniques.
Triage phone calls and questions from clients
Strategically scheduling appointments to optimize hospital flow and the client experience
Managing a multi-modal communications desk
Keeping an upbeat attitude

Prior experience in the veterinary field is not necessary. We will provide you with education, mentorship and training at our facility to feel comfortable in this position!
Additional Salary Information: Pay varies depending on experience and abilities during training. Internal levels completion during training also earns an additional raise per level. Fully cross-trained individuals also earn a slightly higher rate depending on that eligibility.
