GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A FULL OR PART TIME VETERINARY POSITION in beautiful northern Virginia. Close enough to the city to enjoy yourself but with a country, relaxed, small town feel. You are sure to enjoy your job as well as your time off going to vineyards and enjoying this unique and growing area.
We are looking to add an energetic, caring doctor to our 6 doctor multiple location small animal practices! Our patients are mostly dogs and cats, but we do a small number of exotics also. Our practices are well-equipped, well staffed, and well managed, and we have been a part of the community for 30 years. We have many wonderful clients and patients with whom it is a pleasure to work. We value high quality medicine, teamwork, community, good communication, and collaboration.
Preventative care and educating our clients is important to us. We have Health Plans to help our clients give their pets the care they need and other programs that support this mission. We are looking for a doctor that values this also and wants to build great relationships with our clients and patients.
We perform many surgical procedures beyond spays and neuters (fracture repairs, ocular procedures, FHOs, suture CCL repairs in small patients, Perineal Hernia Repairs, and more); and if you love surgery and learning new things, we would love to teach you. We have experienced veterinarians who love to mentor, and we pride ourselves on growing veterinary practitioners that provide excellent care in a supportive and encouraging environment.
We have electronic records that are cloud based. So, you can access them from anywhere and even check your schedule from an app on your phone. We always strive to be ahead of the curve by using technology to our advantage to serve our clients and make our jobs a little easier.
Work/Life Balance is important to us, and we are looking for someone who shares our philosophy of good medicine, good client communication, and good self care. We know that in our profession, veterinarians need support, balance, and permission to take care of themselves. Our profession is a wonderful career. We work hard to keep you fresh and having fun!

About Compassion Animal Hospital
Compassion Animal Hospital has been established for over 30 years in rural Fauquier County, VA. We enjoy providing veterinary care for mostly dogs and cats, but see the occasional pocket pet, rabbit, and chicken as well. We have many diagnostic tools to help us with their care (digital radiography, ultrasound, small endoscopes, Mi-Eye arthroscope, and In-House Idexx Lab for example). Our goal is to develop excellent practitioners and to support one another as we strive to help those animals and clients who come our way. We support our community with career days and sponsorship of events as well as encouraging the next generation of veterinarians with volunteers and "shadowing" students. We value quality of life and work/life balance. Veterinary medicine is a challenging career, and it is important to "get away" to refresh and renew in order to be more sharp and compassionate when working. Our standards are high, but growing professionally and personally is rewarding.
