Waukon Veterinary Service (waukonvetservice.com) is seeking a 4th full time associate veterinarian to join our practice. Specifically, we are searching for the competent & proficient veterinarian in both large and small animal medicine and surgery. New graduates are encouraged to apply; Waukon Veterinary Service will provide mentorship to the right candidate. Beef, dairy, and companion animal medicine & surgery constitute the majority of our caseload. Equine and small ruminant patients are also seen on a semi-frequent basis. We will provide a truck/box. Equipment includes IDEXX LaserCyte, Catalyst and SediVue units, digital x-ray, EasiScan ultrasound, GE small animal ultrasound, petMAP anesthetic monitoring system, InovaDent small animal dental station (scaler/polisher/drill), Terafloat equine motorized dental float, portable bovine chutes and equine stocks. Waukon Veterinary Service is planning a renovation of our current hospital which include the addition of a second small animal exam room, surgery prep, surgery suite, and small animal recovery room. Renovation is scheduled for 2021. The competitive salary package includes simple IRA, health insurance, liability insurance, licensing fees, IVMA dues, a CE stipend, and paid-time off. On-call is shared equally in which the doctor receives a portion of the emergency fee.
